“On November 10–11, representatives of vocational schools and vocational education policymakers gathered in Tartu for the theme days ‘Green Awakening: Environmentally Aware Vocational Education.’
Organized by the Estonian Association for the Advancement of Vocational Education together with the Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps Agency, the event included visits to eco-friendly and circular economy businesses, and a seminar day at Paranduskelder. The initiative was led by our VET Teams—vocational education experts at the agency.”

To help organize this event, volunteers were invited, and of course I jumped at the opportunity—because as a young student in the field of decoration, I considered participating in such events essential.
Paranduskelder is quite a dusty space filled with machines, so my first tasks involved clearing out the larger clutter and transforming the smaller odds and ends into something visually appealing.
The whole project was quite spontaneous and space-specific. In the end, we created table decorations from paper scraps, group work tables, and a stage corner for the speakers, which we decorated using items found on-site in Paranduskelder.
